practice DILIGENTLYItis best that you practice diligently, truly review the inner selfand also concentrate on the inner self at all times. Then thereis no need for Master to correct and for the society to temperyou.
..... Haveone hundred percent faith and live to pursue spiritual practice.Very soon, you will have results. And when you reap a harvest, you will have greater faith, and hence more fruits.
..... Wemust be honest with ourselves. Since we already have started ourspiritual practice, we must make it a success.
..... Wehave to study again and again. Make firm. Start again. Today Ifailed. I didn't meditate very well. Tomorrow, next day, I'llmake more effort. Always try to strive for better will, so thatwe can progress in spirit. And we'll become a stronger and wiserperson in heaven.
..... AllI can tell you is practice more. In a few more months you'll understandit differently than what you understand now. And in a few moreyears all the important questions to you at the moment will meltlike snow in the sun. You'll understand everything without a teacher.Whatever you get into your hands from any scripture, you'll understandperfectly. So just be patient with me and let me help you fromthe root of your wisdom, not from the branch of the tree of knowledge. It takes time for everything to grow.
..... Theintensity of our prayer is what makes it. That's what gets usthe answer or not. We have to be like an audience. We have tobe wise enough, enlightened enough to watch all the games of theuniverse, and get out of the suffering.
..... GlorifyGod by your own power of meditation and realization. That's thebest prayer. That's the best glorification for God, the most significantprayer and the most significant job that you could ever do forGod.
..... Ifwe meditate more and more, finally we know that we don't needanything. Everyday is a miracle for us, and we're happier andmore loving everyday. That is the best gift from God.
..... Inthis world, apart from our spiritual practice, there is no otherplace or power that we can rely on. Violent martial arts and nuclearbombs can only destroy people, not win them over.
..... Takeit easy; meditate! And everything will be clear, I promise you, because that's the way I found out. Even to read the books fromme is second class, even books from holy Masters; even I answeryou is second class; even my lecture - everything is second class.Go inside yourself and find out the great treasure - wisdom, youhave, the great intelligent you are. Don't even rely on me, relyon yourself.
..... Peoplewho have plenty of time may not be diligent practitioners, becausethey think they have a lot of time! "It is all right to takeit slowly. I can always meditate later!" They are inclinedto become like this. Conversely, people who are busy tend to treasuretheir moments of meditation. Therefore, don't complain that youdon't have enough time. It is not true! Endeavor to arrange yourtime, check your timetable, and see what is really necessary --which work is truly worth doing, which person you really needto see, and whether you must address a certain matter. Then wecan save time and work.
Whatever we have arranged to do, do it simply, promptly and concisely; then we have a lot of time.
..... Themore we practice, the more alert we should become. Otherwise,we will easily be trapped in one aspect of our practice. We developnew aspects in our practice everyday. If we are trapped in a certainaspect, we cannot move onto the others.
Therefore, in spiritual practice, we must notsink to a certain level. This is why the Diamond Sutra says: Forsakeall attachments to reveal our true nature. If we are still attachedto a certain achievement, we cannot develop further!
..... Whenyou practice well, a few words from you can give great blessingto others. Looking at him could give him many opportunities totie an affinity with the Almighty. These are your magical powers.
..... Toprogress faster in spiritual practice, we must forget ourselves;be the lowliest person and do the dirtiest, the most unwantedwork.
..... Practicingis reviewing oneself daily, keeping precepts clearly, doing gooddeeds and not doing bad deeds, meditating daily, observing ourown wisdom, cultivating our own compassionate heart, and realizingthe Truth silently. This is then considered practicing.
..... Practicedepends on merits, diligence and wisdom. It does not depend onthe outside.
..... Unlesswe change ourselves through spiritual practice, we will not beable to avoid our own karma.
..... Youhave to work for yourselves, all of you, until you understandwhat you are, and not rely on anything. Be courageous. Don't puttoo much importance on your physical beings. Give it enough foods;give the body enough food, enough clothing, enough exercise, butthat's it. Make it comfortable and that's enough. Otherwise we'llbe forever bound in the physical dimension. Whatever we pay toomuch attention to, we're bound with that. I also have to workfor my understanding. Maybe I work quicker than you, but sooneror later you will arrive.
..... Allthe achievements, all the success must come from inside first-- come from our strong mentality, strong personality, strongwill. We want to make it better -- we want to improve our lifeor our situation. We must have the will to wish and with the hard-workspirit, sacrificing attitude, then we can get what we want andappreciate it.
..... Allday long we look outwards at both good or bad. We are influencedby the outside and forget to focus our attention inwards. Therefore,we do not succeed in most of what we do. Concentration is thesecret of success. The more we meditate and focus our attention, the more smoothly we can carry out whatever we do.
..... Soif we change, the situation changes. If we have heaven withinus, peace within us, then everywhere is heaven, everywhere ispeace. That's the purpose of being good, trying to do good, tryingto be good, because that's the only choice. Unless we want tostay in hell forever. Well, then I don't know. That's very easyto do. To go to hell we don't have to try. There's no need foreffort. It's the most easy way. Most crowded place. So I thinkit is better to go to heaven. Less crowded. More quiet. More room.More space. Everyone goes to hell, so why not we go to heaven?Just like in the cities, they are too crowded already. Why shouldwe go there? So if we want peace and quiet and tranquility, wego to the countryside. There's more room, more space, the landis cheap and we are in a very green surrounding. It's good forour health and spirit, etc.
The same, huh? So I think we are very wiseif we choose to go to heaven. Takes a lot of effort, maybe. Ittakes a lot of effort now, but if you want to try again lateror next life, it's even harder. It adds up more garbage, morebad qualities, and more habits. It's difficult to clean. Now maybewe are already in the thousandth incarnation and if we come backagain, one thousand and one, you know, and we come back againone thousand and two. Each life we accumulate more garbage andmore bad habits. Then it's more difficult to kick off the habits.Right? So, however hard it is, try this time, try one time.
..... We'retoo busy, developing ourselves in scientific aspects, in literaturefields, in mechanical success and we do not try to develop theall, complete power.
..... Throughmeditating everyday, the mighty benign power form God can moderateor even completely digest any information harmful to our bodyand mind. This is why we must not stop meditating and studyingthe holy scriptures.
..... Theheart is important, not the superficial actions. Many people pursuespiritual practice, but some say, "I have practiced so arduously, yet I have gotten nothing in return." Possibly they havenot been sincere enough. We should not blame God, we should notlose faith in the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, nor should we doubtour Master. Instead, we should introspect to see whether we haveany places or knots that have not been untied. If we have greatsincerity, all results will come to us. Even when sometimes wethink we are not sincere, still we have to persist in practicing, and rectify it bit by bit. One day the world will give us thesincerity. Sometimes, we are ill, we are in agony, in pain ora bad mood -- all these unhappy situations will wake us up. Therefore,we still have hope.
..... Oslong as we do more meditation, we will naturally come to knowthe best answer to any problem.
..... Actually, there is no such thing as fate. It's just a matter of having notdone enough spiritual practice.
..... Throughmeditating everyday, the mighty benign power form God can moderateor even completely digest any information harmful to our bodyand mind. This is why we must not stop meditating and studyingthe holy scriptures.
..... Meditationis also work. At that time, we are getting our spirit's food supplyand energy replenished for us to go out and fight again tomorrow.
..... Thesituation in this world is not conducive to our tranquil meditationand calm thinking, but try again and again. In this world, wehave an advantage, that because this world is so difficult forus to practice, God's blessing is with us many folds. So we walkone step and the Master Power will walk a hundred steps to helpus.
