bearers OF LIGHT
Columbia UniversityNY, USA November 3, 1989.So you see, the advancement of our worldhas been brought about by the diligent effort of those so-calledpractitioners, the bearers of light in this world - the yogis,the realized ones, the mahatmas, the masters. Those greater onesare more beneficial, are working in a greater dimension. But eventhe so-called less high level yogis, practitioners, bearers oflight, are also making their contribution to the whole atmosphericchange in our world today. If these practitioners of light, bearersof light, did not exist and had not been existing throughout thecenturies, then our world would not have come to this conditionas it is now. So we are grateful to science and its discoveriesfor all our comforts and all the advanced apparatus. But we trulyforget what is the 'behind' benefactor, the invisible one, whichbrought about this condition.
If these so-called practitionersor bearers of light were absent from our world environment, thenthe world would become like hell. There would be no symbol ofvirtue, no examples of higher living, no light. It would be likea countryside without any electricity, all dark, like in the oldendays. Therefore, what makes our world different from hell is thatwe still have light-bearers; and what makes our world differentfrom heaven is that the light-bearers, the virtuous people arefewer in number. That's what makes all the difference.
