Instructions

This article describes how to use a Web page (.htm file) as your desktop wallpaper (or background).

To set a Web page as your desktop wallpaper, follow these steps:

  • Click here first (an example page)

  • File->Save as. Save this page in your computer. Say "My Documents" folder.

  • Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.

  • On the Background tab, click Browse.

  • In the Files Of Type box, click Background Files.

  • Click the .htm file you want to use as the background, and then click Open.

  • Click OK.

    Tips: you need to "Refresh" after you logon to reconnect to internet. You can also always use "Refresh" to get a new photo and new Aphorism".

Desktop wallpapers using online WebPages

Good: can set SupremeMasterTV as background of your computer, either listening to it (easy to get good quality), or watch it (need high speed internet, quality may also depend internet traffic)

Need: need to connect to internet to make it work

Choice 1:just listening If your computer is connected on line all the time, you can use the following web page as a wallpaper (see instructions), you'll get a random piece of Aphorism, and picture everyday.

Choice 3:pure offline If you use computer offline, you can use the following web page as a wallpaper, you'll get a new Aphorism every 5 minutes; only text is shown, no picture, no sound:
