Some Words From The Heart Of A Little Quan Yin Warrior
By Initiate Chao, Oregon, U.S.A.
Everyday, I wear a necklace and a pin with Master's pictures on them.
The reason is not to protect myself, but in the hope that every being who
has an affinity will have a chance to get a glimpse of the living Master.
In this way their spirits can be uplifted and liberated. It is interesting
that almost 99 percent of the people who see the Master's picture ask, "Is
that you?" I then use this opportunity to say that this is Master Ching
Hai, and offer them Master's sample booklet.
Sample booklets in English, Chinese, Au Lac and Spanish are always
available in my brief case. Occasionally I meet some Christians, who, at
the beginning, dare not accept anything; but after I explain that this book
is to show people how to know themselves and find the source of bliss and
contentment, as well as how to relax their minds no matter what religion
they belong to or what background they have, they accept it with much
interest.
When I miss the chance to hand out Master's booklet or when there is
an opportunity but all the sample booklets have already been given away, I
truly feel upset because I really don't want to miss the opportunity
introducing the living Master. My hope is that they can get the chance to
learn the Quan Yin Method, gain enlightenment, and be liberated from life
and death soon. Moreover, wherever I go I never forget to recite the Holy
Names. They carry Master's blessing to benefit sentient beings and liberate
them from the sea of agony sooner. Consequently, their spirits can go back
to their origin.
Unification Of The 'Mind' And 'Inner Vision'
By Fellow Initiate Wu, Taipei, Formosa
I am a timid and narrow-minded person. I often spend a lot of energy
thinking over things, hoping to have a more distinct point of view.
However, I am still caught in the circle of problems.
During the meditation at the three-day retreat this year, I saw a very
clear blue sky. That could have been interpreted as an inner vision, but
I understood it better as a state of mind. Although it was only a brief
moment, it enabled me to experience a kind of open and boundless concept of
life, an effortless and carefree attitude towards life, a feeling of clear
thoughts. This experience is a very good milestone for me to amend my
inside and personality.
Look at the World Cheerfully
By the News Group, Nantou, Formosa
Early this year, we joined the activities to aid destitute people, as
instructed by Master. The activity was entitled: Care for our fellow beings
and extend warmth to them in the cold winter. We had the opportunity of
visiting a very old granny. From her cheerful speech and laughter, we were
amazed to discover her rich and optimistic heart. We were suddenly
enlightened that 'poverty' itself does not stand for 'misfortune.' A
contented and grateful heart is far more important.
From a mundane point of view, poverty reflects the gloomy side of the
world. However, from another point of view, if it were not for the
existence of poverty, how could it be possible to reveal the precious value
of love? Probably these destitute people are the embodiments of God and
Buddhas. They suffer in this world to provide human beings with
opportunities to learn lessons of love.
There may be different roles on the stage of life, but each one has a
corner of sky where they can express themselves freely. Viewing things from
this angle, there is nothing in this world that one should be too
narrow-minded to accept!
